Baw Baw squash underway
The Baw Baw Squash Club has graded and selected teams for the winter competition, which gets underway tonight at 7.30pm.
Some players are not available due to work commitments and injury. Players returning include David Simon, Charlie Hamilton, Russell Jackson (after several years off), Matt Rovers and Barry Cain.
New to the ranks is promising Jamie Cobbledick, who hopes to follow in his father’s footsteps.
The club wish all players luck for a competitive season of challenging squash.

Athlone badminton
The Knights took care of the Vikings in round 14 of Athlone Badminton.
The Princesses thumped the Cowboys, while the Pirates had yet another good win, this time over the Ninjas. Results: Knights d Vikings 99-89. Princesses d Cowboys 121-90, Pirates d Ninjas 110-89.
Ladder: Pirates 80 points (125.03 per cent), Vikings 68 (112.38), Knights 61 (104.13), Princesses 54 (106.51), Ninjas 44 (90.27), Cowboys 26 (85.54).

Diamonds and Rubies extended their lead at the top of the Warragul Thursday women’s tennis ladder with victory in round nine. Results: Diamonds 6/36 d Emeralds 0/13, Rubies 4/31 d Pearls 2/19.
