Finals race enters last month

-

Buln Buln will be out to increase its advantage in fifth position when they host Nilma-Darnum in round 14 of Ellinbank District football.

The Lyrebirds will enter the match fully aware of an opportunity to potentially move four points ahead of rivals Longwarry if they can get the job done against the Bombers.

With the Bombers going down heavily to ladder leaders Neerim-Neerim South last week, their dream of consecutive finals appearances looks to be dashed.

The Bombers will be confident that their best football can trouble the Lyrebirds, and will relish the challenge of having their say on the make-up of the top five in the last month of home and away football.

Having shown they are a better team at home this season, Longwarry will host a resurgent Warragul Industrials.

It will come as an opportunity to measure the credentials of the Crows, who will be looking for a big scalp to aid their pursuit of finals football.

The Industrials are coming off a confidence boosting win against fellow hopeful Ellinbank, showing signs they may be ready to mix it come finals time.

Catani will be aware it can ill afford another drop off against a lower ranked team as they pursue a valuable top two finish.

Another side that is very good at home, the Blues will look to get the job done against a struggling Poowong.

Ellinbank host Nyora and like Catani, will know that victory is valuable as they aim to climb back into the top two.

Neerim-Neerim South would be expected to maintain its lead at the top of the table when they host Lang Lang.
