Bricks and Bouquets

-

To all the people who throw rubbish out of cars think about what you are doing. It pollutes our beautiful area. Take it home or use a public rubbish bin.

To the retiring volunteers of the 1st Trafalgar Scout Group thank you for the time you have given in supporting young people in our community

Bricks to Peninsula Cinemas for removing session times from The Gazette.

A bouquet to the friendly staff of Steam and Riddles Cafe in Drouin. Always bright and cheerful.

Brick to Drouin Primary School for discontinuing a popular craft class which was being run on weekends.

Three big bouquets to firstly the guy who keeps my lawns tidy, for notifying me of the accident he witnessed on his way past. Secondly the shire worker who was operating the machine on the very slippery grass outside my fence, who reported the damage immediately, and thirdly to the coordinator of parks, gardens and sports fields at Baw Baw Shire for promptly contacting me to say that the damage will be fixed by council. My sincere appreciation to you all.

A big bouquet of flowers to the gentleman who helped me change a flat tyre in front of the Drouin Post Office on July 11. I really appreciated his help as I would have had to sit on the road to do so.

Bricks to the Warragul Leisure Pool for showers going cold half way through showering”.

Bouquet to the State Government for its funding boost for libraries as reported in The Gazette on July 4.

Sensible swimmers at the Warragul Leisure Centre always use empty lanes if available. They don't use lanes occupied and force the swimmer to change lanes. On Friday afternoon there were three empty lanes. That did not stop a man forcing himself into a lane being used by a disabled person and told him he had to keep out of his way. The staff had to get him to move in the interest of common sense which this man did not have.

I would like to send a big bouquet to the very honest person who returned a carton of cigarettes back to Woolworths Warragul on Thursday. I had left them in a trolley in the car park and was devastated when I got home and realised what I had done, and when I rang the supermarket and found out they had been returned I got my faith back in humanity. I am so very grateful in your honesty and would love to know who this person is. Thank you.
