Remanded after arrest

A Warragul man was arrested and remanded in custody after failing to appear in court in relation to a number of charges.

Baw Baw CIU detectives arrested the 28-year-old man last Monday. The man was remanded in custody until Wednesday when he appeared at Latrobe Valley Magistrate­s’ Court and further remanded.

The man was arrested in relation to three outstandin­g warrants relation to 20 charges including burglary, theft, drug offences and weapon offences.

The charges relate to incidents last year and theft of a car last month. Police also allege the man was involved in a recent burglary at St Paul’s Anglican Grammar School.

The man will reappear at LVMC on August 16.
