Business group seeks support

-

Drouin and District Business is calling on support, with its fate to be decided following its annual general meeting later this month.

The business group is currently conducting a survey to ascertain level of interest for a business group presence in the town.

The business group, which facilitates organised networking, business development workshops and advocacy to local and state government, is looking to Drouin business owners to join the committee to allow the group to continue operating.

The group also is a key organiser of the annual Drouin Lights Up Festival and other promotional events in the town.

President Helen Taylor confirmed this will be her last year as president and hopes there will be plenty of support at the meeting for a new committee.

She said many people had already indicated they would attend, with confirmation of representatives from most groups, Baw Baw Shire, Drouin Rotary and other clubs.

Response at the annual general meeting will determine the fate of the group.

It will be held on Monday, July 31 from 7pm at Middels restaurant, with the event to include a guest speaker.

Appetisers provided, with other food and drinks at bar prices.

To RSVP, phone Drouin and District Business Group secretary Trudy Tambassis on 0409 720 283 or through the Drouin and District Business Group Facebook page by July 26.
