Girl guides host a remarkable choir

-

Warragul Girl Guides will host an African performance by Watoto Children’s Choir at the Darnum Memorial Hall on Tuesday, August 8.

The choir, consisting of an amazing group of orphans all the way from Uganda, will present concert “Signs and Wonders”.

Watoto Children’s Choirs have travelled extensively since 1994, sharing a message of hope for Africa’s orphans and widows. The choirs have travelled to six continents to perform.

Each child in the choir have suffered the loss of one or both parents, and now lives in a Watoto village. The experience of travelling in a choir helps the children to develop confidence and broaden their world views.

Accompanied by a team of adults, the choir presents Watoto’s vision and mission by sharing personal stories, music and dance.

Doors will open at 6.30pm for the 7pm performance.

After the performance, a love offering will be collected. All money will support the work of Watoto.
