Ladder leaders Neerim-Neerim South did enough to comfortabl­y account for Lang Lang, 14-11 (95) to 2-6 (18).

The Cats kicked five goals in the first term and were never headed.

Holding a nine-goal advantage at half time, the foot came off the pedal somewhat with the Cats adding two goals to one in the third term.

The Cats were able to finish stronger, booting four goals to one in the second half.

Tim Leicester booted four goals, while Kody Wilson chipped in with three majors.

Chris Urie, Jack Deen, Aaron Fawcett and Matt Young also helped the Cats make a strong start.

Josh Brown, William McGindle, Dylan Wilson, Jack Brickwood and Sam Kendell led a better effort from the Tigers in the second half.

Neerim-Neerim South were big winners in the Reserves, 16-6 (102) to 4-3 (27).

The Tigers got off to a strong start, leading at quarter time by six-points, before the Cats wrestled back the lead.

The Cats kicked away in the final term, booting nine goals to blow the margin out.

Mark Quigley booted six goals, while Tim Fraser chipped in with three majors.

Alex Gavin, Heath Strating, Luke O’Donoghue, Toby Bayne and Ben Lockett also helped the Cats kick away.

Brendon Boulton, Danyon Blew, Mark Hunter, Mathew Thompson and Neil Harris helped the Tigers remain competitiv­e until three-quarter-time.

Cats run away

Neerim-Neerim South were also big winners in the under 18s.

The Cats were never headed, kicking out to a 69-point half time lead, and the damage could have been greater had it not been for some inaccuracy.

Consolatio­n goals to the Tigers in the second half saw the final score 14-26 (110) to 2-3 (15).

Lachie Ramage and Justin Lockett each booted five goals, while Isaiah Abrahams, Cooper Clancy, Rhys George, Adam White and Mitchell Diston were also prominent.

Luke Blake, Mason Koffman, Travis Gorton, Matthew Stone and Ethan Whittle battled against the odds for the Tigers.
