Industrials hold on in race for finals
Warragul Industrials held on for a thrilling three-point win over Buln Buln, 6-10 (46) to 67 (43).
It was a tight and low scoring first half, with the Industrials kicking the only goal of the first quarter. Two goals apiece in the second term saw the two sides separated by just three points at the long break.
With the Industrials looking to secure a top three finish, the visitor kicked 3-7 to no score in the third term to set up a 28-point lead at the final change, a lead that the Lyrebirds would ultimately fail to overcome.
With Longwarry breathing down their neck, the Lyrebirds sensed an opportunity to cause an upset to help their cause.
Kicking with the advantage in the final term, the Lyrebirds finished strongly with four goals to bridge the gap and send some nerves through the Industrials camp.
The Industrials registered two behinds for the term, which was instrumental as they held on for a valuable win.
Ben Northover, Josh Peterson and Cooper Minichiello held their won in defence, while Travis Ogden, Tye Holland and Tyson Bale led the attack through the middle.

Aiming to bounce back from a disappointing loss to Lang Lang, Mitch Nobelius, coach Matt Gray, Leigh Borland, James Taylor, James Davidson and Luke Nobelius helped the Lyrebirds push the Industrials to the brink.
Dusties dealt blow
Warragul Industrials were dealt a blow in the Reserves, going down to Buln Buln 10-9 (69) to 1-9 (15).
The Industrials went into quarter time trailing by just five points, but failed to score in the second term as the Lyrebirds booted four majors to establish a handy buffer.
The Lyrebirds were kept scoreless in the third term but the Industrials wasted an opportunity to get back in the game, with their efforts only realising six behinds.
The Lyrebirds kicked away with the wind in the final quarter.
Nicholas Castle and Thomas Wyatt each kicked three goals for Buln Buln, with Carlton Helliwell, Dylan Kelly, Tim Davine and Jack Symes also helping the Lyerbirds to a strong win.
Luke Fusinato, Scott Blaney, Tom Turner, Damien Mullen, Adam Bainbridge and Lee Jeffries were the better players for the Industrials.
Dusties hold on
Warragul Industrials withstood a final term charge to hold out Buln Buln in the under 18s, 11-7 (73) to 9-10 (64).
In a match where the wind was a significant factor, it was the Industrials’ ability to score two goals into the wind that ultimately proved the difference.
Four goals in the first term and five in the third allowed the Industrials to kick out to a 40-point lead at three-quarter-time.

Keegan Tullett kicked three goals, while Joseph Murfet, Ziare Campbell, Isaac Lalor, Jacob Walker and Tom Commadeur also helped the Industrials across the line in tough conditions.
Sean Symes booted four majors for Buln Buln, with Reece Campbell, Harry Wans, James Fowler, Brandon Allen and Kyan Willis also leading the charge in the final term.

The Industrials kicked away to a 32-point lead at half time and while the Lyrebirds kicked a major in the third term to keep in touch, the Industrials steadied with a final term goal to have the match in their keeping.
The Industrials shared the scoring, with six individual goal kickers.
Tyler Irving, Luke Kinder, Darcy Whelan, Lachlan Bambridge, Hunter Dowel and Lachlan Crook helped build the lead for the Industrials.
