30 years of service

-

Ambulance Victoria’s Warragul team manager Ross Breadon was recently honoured for 30 years of service and 30 years of safe driving at a recent presentation of staff awards in Morwell.

Ross worked at Morwell for 13 years and has been at Warragul for 17 years.

Ross’ interest in becoming a paramedic was sparked by a friend working at NSW Ambulance, along with being keen to work in a community minded industry.

Working with, for and managing fantastic colleagues has been a career highlight for Ross, along with being part of a small community and delivering babies.

Ross said being around wonderful people prolonged his career.

A number of other officers received awards including Omeo officer Ronda Manhire who also received a 30 year long service award, Morwell workshop supervisor Les Collins for 35 years and Mirboo North team manager Don Gillies for 35 years long services, and 35 years Nation al Medal.

Ambulance Victoria acting regional director for Gippsland Simon Jemmett congratulated the recipients.

He congratulated them for their outstanding service to Ambulance Victoria and to the many communities that have been impacted by their combined years of service over the last few decades.

‘Our paramedics, employees and volunteers work tirelessly to help the Gippsland region and local communities are in great hands with the experience and passion that Ross, Ronda, Les and Don all share,” he said.
