The September meeting was held at Bill and Marion Denniss’ property in Heath Hill. It was a cold, windy day but the participants were well protected by weatherproof blinds and comforted with a gas heater.
Gaye Cameron was the guest presenter for the meeting. Gaye gave an absorbing presentation on pastures.
She covered the growth characteristics of a range of grasses, the optimum time to graze the various grasses and measures that can be taken to minimise weeds.
The next activity for the group will be held next Saturday at Tony and Sharon Wrobel’s property in Allambee Reserve.
The topic for the day is ‘Grazing and Pasture Management’. John Gallienne, a Warragul agronomist, will be the guest presenter for the day.
John’s knowledge and expertise, gained from years of experience, is renowned, and it will be a valuable learning experience for all members

The group will continue weekly on Monday nights at the Bunyip Hall from 6.30pm to 9.30pm, tea coffee and biscuits provided.
Series of lessons - eight for $70 or discount of $50 for upfront payment or to play - $5 per session. And we will be able to fit beginners in to our lessons as we go, so please consider joining us.
