Unsuccessful swiping

Two males allegedly used an angle grinder when they attempted to steal a Myki machine from Longwarry Railway Station last weekend.

Two male offenders wearing balaclavas were captured on security footage allegedly trying to remove the machine from the platform at about 3.30am on Saturday, October 21.

Police said it appeared the men were using an angle grinder to cut through the base of the machine.

The men were disturbed by a bus driver arriving at the station.

Police said the two offenders were last seen running along the railway tracks for about 300 metres when they got into a vehicle and drove off towards Bunyip.
