Warragul hold slight advantage

struck immediately, removing Osseweyer as he looked to start accelerating. This would set the tone for the remainder of the innings with the Hawks building small partnerships only to have them broken up by Kennedy.

Tom Wyatt offered plenty of resistance, top scoring with 43 before holing out in the deep on the spacious Drouin Recreation Reserve oval. Kye Osseweyer played a valuable cameo to finish with 23.

The day however belonged to Kennedy who was involved in eight of the 10 dismissals. A marathon spell of 22 overs would see him finish with career best figures of 5/60 as well as holding on to two catches and assisting in a run out.

The ever-reliable Peter Croft chipped in with 2/30 off 15 overs.

Although requiring less than three an over the Warriors will need to work hard to win this one.

They will need to rely on their depth and will be keen to see another big score from in-form batsman Rod Breeden.

Bagnall decimates Hallora

Hallora 10/46 vs Jindivick 7/153 Jindivick has secured first innings points in its clash with Hallora after an incredible performance from opening bowler Nick Bagnall left the Kangas batting line-up in tatters.

In the space of 14 overs Bagnall proved to be virtually unplayable, conceding just 17 runs while snaring a scarcely believable eight wickets. Of the eight, four where bowled and one was leg before wicket.

Frustrating things even further, Christian Stacey was also giving nothing away, returning six maidens in a 10 over spell that saw him claim 2/19.

The visitor simply couldn’t find a way to counter the onslaught with skipper Michael Harrison (17) the only man to muster double figures.

In reply, the home side had little trouble reaching the target, passing the Kangas total just one down.

The Jumping Jacks had many contributors with Gordon Winstone (29) and Christian Stacey (29) sharing the top score. Jarryd Croxford and Peter Galvin each chipped in with 20.

Daniel Simons was the pick of the bowlers with 2/26.

With just over a one hundred run lead and three wickets in hand you would expect Jindivick to come out firing on day two, looking to extend their lead further before taking another crack at the Halloran batsman.
