Tigers apply pressure
Yarragon (140) vs. Iona (0-11): Yarragon put on an encouraging batting performance, but based on the results from the opening four rounds their total of 140 won’t be enough to prevent Iona from remaining unbeaten, with the Swamp Tigers applying considerable pressure with the ball to stymie the flow of runs from their opponents.
Adam Mazza (29) and Darren Davidson (48) were in fine form with the bat, and helped to rescue the Panthers from the precarious position of 6-44 and onto a more competitive total.
The likes of Sam Accardi (3-26) and Michael Taylor (3-18) did the bulk of the damage, and Andrew Parker and Michael Neilson were left with enough time to edge closer to the required target, with Iona finishing the day at 0-11.
