Distress beacon leads to rescue

Warragul Police located two men after they activated a distress signal near Toorongo on Saturday night.

Police search and rescue received notification that a personal safety distress beacon was activated at about 7.30pm.

A police airwing search of the Toorongo Rd area identified two males in the bush area.

Warragul Police attended the area to locate the men.

Police said the men had been involved in a car collision and had walked away from their vehicle.

The men were safe and well.
