Danc­ing brings back mem­o­ries

The res­i­dents at Hil­lview Bun­yip Aged Care en­joyed some won­der­ful danc­ing mem­o­ries when a dance was or­gan­ised for them re­cently.

The dance had been or­gan­ised by Karen Daniel­son at the sug­ges­tion of Hil­lview’s life­style co­or­di­na­tor De­bra Snel­ten.

Mu­sic was per­formed by David John­ston, a renowned and cel­e­brated or­gan­ist, and also the “In Har­mony” duo of Su­san Par­rish and Pa­trick Wake­field.

The room was taste­fully dec­o­rated to re­sem­ble a real ball­room and many res­i­dents with huge smiles on their faces re­mem­bered their ear­lier fun times when they at­tended dances in the area.

Some res­i­dents en­joyed danc­ing and those con­fined to a wheel­chair en­joyed a wheel­chair dance while be­ing pushed around on the dance floor.

The room re­sounded with laugh­ter and happy chat­ter.

A smor­gas­bord of de­li­cious finger foods was avail­able through­out the evening.
