Five Star Crooks to rock Drouin

-

Get ready for Aussie rock when “Five Star Crooks” perform at the Old Drouin Butter Factory on Saturday night.

The five-piece band from the Eastern Suburbs will perform a mix of Aussie rock originals and classic rock covers from artists such as “The Angels” and “The Rolling Stones” and classics written by the late George Young.

The band features Pete Burgess on lead vocals, Nik Brajkovic on bass guitar, Travis Venn on drums, Rich Anderson on guitar and Paul Boksich on guitar.

“Five Star Crooks” released its debut album “Hearts and Hands” in 2014. In 2016, they released a follow up single “Every Action”, mixed and mastered by Grammy nominee Brian Lanese.

More recently, the band has been recording its second album with legendary producer and sound engineer Bill Irvin. The Drouin gig will offer a taste of this music.

New guitarist and songwriter Paul Boksich has also joined the band and added a spring to the group’s step.
