Chorale’s festive feast
The West Gippsland Chorale will offer a calm, contemplative and relaxing offering amongst the haste and busyness of the festive season with its annual Christmas performance.
The chorale will present “Angels and Shepherds” at Wesley of Warragul on Friday, December 8 at 8pm and Sunday, December 10 at 2.30pm.
Choristers have been practising their Russian pronunciation to present Tchaikovsky’s inspiring “Cherubim Song”, as well as learning some different interpretations of classic Christmas carols and songs.
Audience members will enjoy revisiting some well-known pieces whilst being introduced to enchanting lesser-known works. Other featured composers include John Rutter and Zoltan Kodaly.
Choir director Simon Loveless and accompanist Lisa Fraser have worked together in their usual professional manner to encourage, coach and refine a splendid sound from this talented group of local singers.
If it’s your first time attending a West Gippsland Chorale presentation, you will be made welcome and sure to enjoy the special experience and atmosphere at Wesley of Warragul.
Tickets are $30 for adults, $25 for concession and free for school aged children.
