Warragul’s best kept healthy secret for all ages and abilities is held at Brooker Park from 7.50am each Saturday morning.

Have you heard of parkrun? Did you know that parkrun is not just a run? You can walk or run or in-between and all of it is supported.

All ages and abilities are welcome to participat­e and complete the 5km course. Some people finish in 18 minutes, some in an hour and a half and the volunteers for the day stay until the last person is supported through the finishing flags.

It is a 5km free, weekly, timed event each Saturday morning at 7.50am. meeting from the barbecue shelter at Brooker Park in Warragul.

Participan­ts need to register and print out their unique barcode and bring it along in order to get your results via email.

All ages and abilities welcome, with one dog on a short leash and prams also welcome. No bikes or scooters are permitted.

Parking is available at St. Pauls Basketball stadium.

Warragul parkrun also has a Facebook page, where photos for each event are posted.

It is an encouragin­g, supportive environmen­t and a great way to start the weekend.

Volunteer positions are also available each week if you would prefer to support only and not participat­e in the 5km aspect to parkrun.

The group are also supported by the Warragul Country Club, where participan­ts have coffee when parkrun finishes each week.
