Drouin gains big wins
Drouin Bowling Club had a field day for the return of West Gippsland Bowls Division’s Saturday pennant, scoring big wins over Morwell Club and Warragul. Division four lost in a close encounter with Yallourn North. Division one: Drouin 18/97 defeated Morwell Club 2/83. Janice Aubrey, Maureen Leighton, John Leighton and Matthew Schreyer (skip) defeated W. Lynch’s team 29/19. Graeme Aubrey, Mark Atkinson, Sheryl Atkinson and Mick Fleming (skip) lost to M. Coram’s team 17/27. Ron Brodie, Les Firth, Dennis Throup and Gary Johnson (skip) defeated J. Miller’s team 28/15. Nesta Coldebella, Steve Barr, Ian McCartney and Adam Proctor (skip) defeated D. O’Keefe team 23/22.
Division three: Drouin (2) 18/100 defeated Warragul (3) 2/80.
Terry McFadzean, John Bulmer, Chris Stubbings and Colin Finger (skip) defeated Steve Pallot’s team 24/18. Andrew Blaby, Margaret Schofield, Phil Jarred and David Tayles (skip) defeated Mark Hall’s team 27/19. Robert Cole, Mathew Eccles, Tim Anderson and Noel Rubenstein (skip) defeated Linda McCoy’s team 30/17. Laurie Innes, Barry Price, Dale Hedrick and Graham Woolstencroft (skip) lost to Ken Taylor’s team 19/26.
