Drouin played in some close games but only came away with one win on Saturday.

It was a tense conclusion to the division three team, going down by one shot on the final end.

Division one: Drouin 4/88 lost to Traralgon 16/97.

Graeme Aubrey, Mark Atkinson, Sheryl Atkinson and Mick Fleming (skip) defeated Matt Ferrari’s team 25/19. Janice Aubrey, Maureen Leighton, John Leighton and Matthew Schreyer (skip) defeated Ian Kirkup’s team 30/23. David McIlfatric­k, Les Firth, Dennis Throup and Gary Johnson (skip) lost to Jim Scullin’s team 16/24. Matthew Eccles, Steve Barr, Ian McCartney and Adam Proctor (skip) lost to Neville Brown’s team 17/31.

Division three: Drouin (2) 4/85 lost to Yallourn (3) 16/86.

Laurie Innes, Terry McFadzean, Col Jeffrey and Graeme Woolstencr­oft (skip) lost to Bryon Puddy’s team 18/28. Robert Cole, Dale Hendrick, Tim Anderson and Noel Rubenstein (skip) lost to Alan Luck’s team 20/22. Division four: Drouin (3) 2/78 lost to Traralgon (4) 18/98.

Clive Newman, Mal Anderson, Gwen Price and Ray Watson (skip) lost to W. Harrison’s team 12/30. Don Mowat, Lloyd Smith, Mary Firth and Neil Bullen (skip) lost to Tony Colwell’s team 13/29. Merv Appleyard, Brian Thorpe, Kevin Potter and Peter Hone (skip) lost to Tom Togella’s team 19/20. In this game, scores were level on the last end before Traralgon scored one shot to claim victory. Elaine Thorpe, Bill Eacott, Margaret Rhodes and Robert Proctor (skip) defeated H. Watson’s team 34/19 to be the overall best rink after winning by 15 shots.

Division six: Drouin (4) 10/52 defeated Garfield (3) 0/45.

Jim Hogan, Richard Joyner, Tom Lawler and Dini Hone defeated Damien Brick’s team 25/23. Max Hine, Ian Haughton, Graeme Godkin and John Kinrade defeated Judy Pocklingto­n’s team 27/22.

Tuesday

Drouin bowlers recorded two wins and a close loss in temperamen­tal weather conditions. The teams played in cold, wind and rain one minute and humidity and sunshine the next.

Division one: Drouin defeated Warragul 2/52.

M. Leighton (skip), S. Atkinson, M. Rhodes and L. Firth won 26/12. D. Hamilton (skip), L. Jeffrey, C. Jeffrey and L. Innes won 26/17. P. Appleyard (skip), M. Schofield, M. Firth and J. Leighton lost 15/23.

Division two: Drouin (2) 14/75 defeated Warragul (2) 2/52.

J. Johnson (skip), M. McMillan, H. Gaff and E. Thorpe lost 12/22. T. Cole (skip), G. Price, P. Hone and M. Appleyard won 29/14. I. Dawson (skip), D. Hone, L. Rippon and L. Fox won 34/16 to be named best overall rink.
