knock of 46, whilst Stacey chipped in with an unbeaten 38 as Jindivick reached their target in the 31st over.

Iona bounce back

Iona (154) def. Neerim District (7-105): Iona shrugged off a disappointing loss to Western Park last round to record a 49-run win over Neerim District, with the Swamp Tigers simply too good with the ball for the Stag’s batsmen to counteract.

Shannon Hayhow (1-10 from eight), Nathan Wheildon (also 1-10 off 8), Kieran Lenders (221) and Sam Accardi (3-31) did the bulk of the damage with the ball, and successfully restricted Neerim District to 7-105 in their pursuit of 154.

Earlier in the day, Mick Taylor rediscovered some form and made a bright half-century, and Michael Neilson (32) and Accardi (16) chipped in with handy contributions to keep the runs flowing.

Warriors remain on top

Western Park (5-141) def. Yarragon (86): Western Park remain on top of the division three table following their 55-run win over Yarragon, with not even the presence of John Allsop in the line-up able to help the Panthers claim an upset win.

The Warriors made their way to 5-141 from their allotted overs with all seven batsmen chiming in with valuable contributions.

The lowest score was Sam Fennell’s 12*, with everyone else making between 13 and 29 in an even team effort.

In reply, Allsop did manage to launch two huge sixes, but his stumps were soon disturbed by Kurtis Harper and at 5-44 Yarragon’s hopes had been extinguished.

Harper (2-9), Sam Fennell (2-13) and Lane Ward (2-3) were the main benefactors with the ball as the Panthers were dismissed for 86.
