- By Sam Laffy

Buln Buln (6-222) def. Longwarry (141): Buln Buln put Longwarry to the sword in their division three clash, with their batting exploits proving far too much for the Crows to overcome.

Max Kelly led the assault, with the opener belting 84 to lift the run-rate early.

Jack Symes chimed in with a handy knock of 60 in support, and Jarryd Kilday made 28 and at the conclusion of 40 overs Buln had posted 6-222.

Randall Mitchell belted 39 in an attempt to kick-start the Longwarry run-chase, and Liam Quarrell chipped in with 37 but the required runs were simply too much for the Crows.

Sam Reid (2-17 off seven) was particularly tidy with the ball as Longwarry’s chase ended in the 34th over with the score 141.

Warriors perform all round

Western Park (4-134) def. Garfield-Tynong (9132):

Western Park produced a fine all-round performance against Garfield-Tynong in their round eight clash, and walked away with a comfortable six-wicket win.

Having been sent into the field, the Warriors opening bowlers maintained a consistent line and length and made life difficult for the Titans top order, with Michael Talbot (1-3 off five) and Kieran Morton (2-28) in fine form.

Sam Laffy (2-14) and Sam Fennell (3-32) provided able support helped to restrict Garfield-Tynong to 9-132.

Glen Johnston (48) and Glenn Miller (32) were the stand-outs with the bat for the Titans.

In reply, Daniel Hilton struck a lusty 30, and Sam Cheeseman a composed 21 and along with a huge extras tally Western Park were able to cruise to victory in the 36th over.
