Ian Hopper won the A grade event with a score of 41 points playing off his mark of 11, while Peter Bogart won the B grade event with a final score of 42 points playing off his handicap of 20. Barrie Cousin did best for C grade with a winning score of 40 points playing off his mark of 29.
Other fine rounds of 40 points were recorded by the aforementioned Van Der Horst, Mick Neylan and Andrew Patten.
It’s important to remember that when you get a nearest the pin that you actually record your name on the appropriate location as on Saturday this was not done on the eighth hole.
The final of the Captain’s Trophy is now to be played between employee and employer with Shane Male to take on Geoff Turner for the title.
The club congratulated Peter and Julie Fedorenko who recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
Tom Papley came home for Christmas and swapped his Swans guernsey for a set of golf clubs and put them to good use by winning the stable event on Boxing Day with a score of 43 points playing off his handicap of 22.
