School holiday fun at libraries

Local libraries are hosting a range of fun activities for kids these school holidays.

The Warragul Library will host a free 45minute performanc­e by “CARP Production­s” on Tuesday, January 16 at 10.30am.

The library will also hold a placemat making session today (Tuesday) from 10.30am to 11.30am.

A Kids’ Movie Club will be on Friday. Come along between 3pm to 4pm to make your own cardboard box car before you grab a “parking spot” in the library drive-in theatre.

Karaoke for Kids will also promise plenty of fun on Friday, January 19 from 4pm to 6pm.

If dancing is more your thing, Drouin Library will host a “Summer Dance Party” on Monday, January 22 from 2.30pm to 3.30pm.

Trafalgar Community Centre will welcome Peghead Pete the Pirate on Friday, January 19 at 2.15pm.

Neerim South Library will host a “Green Screen Dreams” sessions on Saturday, January 20 from 10.30am to 12noon. A 30-minute session will see children learn how to make film using a green screen, starring yourself wherever you imagine.

The Northern Mobile Library will be at Willow Grove for “Stop Motion” on Thursday, January 25 from 11am to 12.30pm.

This is a chance to learn how to make your own short film.
