Rubbish spoils streetscape

-

The beaut streetscaping of Warragul’s central business district is utterly destroyed every Friday morning when 10 or more emptied rubbish bins from Palmerston St businesses are left spread over three or more carpark spaces outside these businesses.

It’s not the parking glitch that’s the problem so much as the ugliness of strewn bins in the street.

The owners of this mess must be aware of rubbish collection times and must be aware that people are out and about well before shops open at 9am. Surely there is an answer.

Beth Carr, Warragul But I would like to commend the writer who stated “A woman aged 74 and a man aged 75...” - which we are - instead of the usual “elderly couple” which we are not. Well done. Dawn Hall, Warragul improvements that Victoria was entitled to.

The federal treasurer used some contrived technicality as the reason o withhold these funds.

Would Mr Blackwood please tell me what support did he give the state government in pressing the federal government to release those funds.

Very recently Prime Minister Turnbull sacked Darren Chester, a Gippslander, as minister for infrastructure.

Did Mr Blackwood take any protest action to the prime minister over this unjustified sacking?

The new minister is Barnaby Joyce. What chance does Mr Blackwood give Victoria to now receive its fair share of Commonwealth funds for infrastructure development from this minister? Ted Benjamin, Neerim Junction
