Warragul & Drouin Gazette

Who duded whom?

-

In The Gazette (2/1/2018), Member for Narracan Gary Blackwood claims that the Victorian Government has duded the Gippsland rail travellers.

I wonder if Mr Blackwood is in any position to level such criticism at the Victorian Government.

As a member of the previous Coalition government can he tell us what action it took to improve the rail service for Gippsland.

If that government’s proposal for a loss making east-west road tunnel had gone ahead would there have been any funds left over to improve Gippsland rail infrastructure?

Last year the federal government refused to provide funds to Victoria for infrastructure

Bricks to the Beyond the Valley festival goers who left their rubbish in Hamiltons Rd. Two vehicles were parked for the night on the corner of Hamiltons Rd and Lardners Trk on December 30. When they left the following day they deposited some of their rubbish on the roadside on Hamiltons Rd and threw their 12 stubbies over into our paddock, breaking three bottles which required cleaning up so no cows would eat glass instead of grass. Rude!

Bouquets to people in the library who have respect for others and read quietly and to the guy in the reading room who received a call on his mobile and went outside to talk. He is a gentleman who understands library etiquette

A bouquet to the kind, honest person who handed in my card which I had left in the ATM. Thanks.

Bricks to Baw Baw Shire. I contacted them after a storm left half the road on the elbow corner of Danes Rd covered in dirt and mud. The cover was lifted on the drain pit. Further storms made it more dangerous and still nothing has been done.

Bricks to the idiots who lift drain covers. One of these days someone will get a badly broken leg.

Bouquets to Adam Jinks from Ezicool Ice Supplies who did not hesitate to supply a truck to collect greatly needed cold goods kindly donated by Lionco Dairy in Morwell to fill our fridges at BBCC Food Relief. We are humbled by the wonderful businesses and community who readily assist us.

Bricks to the inconsiderate woman having loud distracting conversation on her mobile in the reading room of Warragul library while I’m trying to read Bricks & Bouquets in The Gazette. But bouquets to everyone else in the library who have respective for others and just read quietly.

Bricks to the people who are stealing plants from gardens in the Archibald Cres area.

Bricks to the lazy shoppers who leave their trolleys in driveways adjacent to the Williams St three hour car park. These are private driveways, how would you like it if you had to regularly get out of your cars to move trolleys when you entered or exited your house.

Bouquets to the parks and gardens (Baw Baw Shire) workers who have done a beautiful job of the bottom roundabout in Drouin.
