Drouin defeat rivals
Drouin Bowling Club’s division one team had a huge win over neighbourhood rivals Warragul on Saturday.
In the opening round of bowls for 2018, Drouin’s division three team also had a big win over Traralgon RSL.
Division one: Drouin 20/119 defeated Warragul 0/56.
Graeme Aubrey, Sheryl Atkinson, Geoff Locket and Mark Atkinson (skip) defeated Graeme Davis’ team 23/15. Matthew Eccles, Ian McCartney, Mick Fleming and Adam Proctor (skip) defeated Janette Gallasch’s team 33/13. Maureen Leighton, Colin Stubbings, John Leighton and Matthew Schreyer (skip) defeated Ken Scammell’s team 26/13. David McIlfatrick, Les Firth, Dennis Throup and Gary Johnson (skip) defeated Clive Padgham’s team 37/15 to be overall best rink.

Team two: Graeme Woolstencroft, David Tayles, Dennis Throup and Gary Johnson (skip) lost first game to Warragul 11/13, lost second game to Traralgon 7/15, and won third game to Yallourn 11/10. This result cost Yallourn a place in the final.
Team three: Ron Brodie, Col Finger, Mick Fleming and Matt Schreyer (skip) drew first game to Morwell, won second game to Traralgon RSL 9/6, and won third game to Trafalgar 13/8.
