Gippsland Breeding Bowl

-

Merlewood Angus’ dream became a reality last year as they hosted their inaugural Autumn Bull Sale on their magical property of Merlewood, nestled in the rolling green hills of the Strzelecki Ranges.

Proud to be bringing leading industry black angus stud bulls to the heart of Gippsland, Merlewood Angus cannot wait for their 2nd Autumn Bull Sale – which they hope will be sensational.

Mark the date in BOLD in your calendar and head along and support your fellow Gippsland farmers as 35 black angus bulls go under the hammer on Friday 23 March 2018 at noon. There is sure to be a bull to suit everyone’s breeding program.

Proud participants once again of the Stock and Land Beef Week Open Day, Merlewood Angus invite you to come along and visit them on Sunday 4 February 2018 for a pre-sale preview. This is a great opportunity to have a long, leisurely look at the 2018 Autumn Sale bulls – take notes; draw up a short list, and even take photos to jog your memory.

In addition to the black angus bulls themselves being in the bull pens for your viewing, the Merlewood Angus Team will be available on the day for consultation on all your breeding queries. Light refreshments will be provided.

Stud principals Anne Marie and Daniel Barrow along with their Farm Manager Luke Buchanan and independant Breed Consultant Willie Milne will all be available on the day to talk bull until the cows come home.

Seriously though, this is a great opportunity to spend one-on-one time asking the right questions to enable the Merlewood Angus team to advise you which bull(s) they think would best suit your individual breeding program and goals for the year ahead.

With over 60 years’ experience, what Scottishborn Willie Milne doesn’t know about the Aberdeen Angus isn’t worth knowing.

Anne Marie, Daniel and Luke have learnt well from Willie and have gained great knowledge in a short space of time which they love to share #sharingourstorieshelpsusgrow

This young start-up stud has come a long way in a very short time. The team are passionate, dedicated and above all they farm with love. The love they have for their animals is evident in the temperament of the cattle.

Respect at Merlewood Angus is a two way street. Following leading industry best practice, all bulls are fully vaccinated and independently structurally assessed and examined for breeding soundness (fertility). All bulls come with a 12 month guarantee and Merlewood Angus encourage open communication at all times. Only the best get to breed at Merlewood Angus.

So head along and support Merlewood Angus in their vision of the Gippsland Breeding Bowl. Merlewood Angus envisage Gippsland being known one day throughout Australia for the best natural, grass-grown beef with the best genetics to achieve what the consumer is looking for in their Angus Beef eating experience. Be part of the dream. Be part of the Merlewood Angus Team.
