Titans in box seat

Garfield-Tynong 220 v Drouin 0/2 Garfield-Tynong are in the box seat against Drouin, having posted a strong total of 220.

Michael O’Neill made 66 in the middle order to bolster the Titans total after Allistair Bliss and Jamez Reeve made a positive start.

Vlad Klaric chipped in with 20 from the lower order.

Sam Perry toiled hard for Drouin, finishing with 5/45.

Drouin will resume at 0/2 following a tight opening over from Jason Ridler.

Longwarry have defeated Buln Buln by forfeit, while Western Park have the bye.

A five-wicket haul to Lachlan Carroll decimated the Jindivick top order, and helped Western Park claim the D grade T20 grand final, with the Warriors taking out a four-wicket win over the Jumping Jacks.

Carroll had a hand in the first four wickets to fall after Jindivick elected to bat first, dismissing Gordon Winstone, Ben Giles and Tim Jeffrey and running out Michael Dixon with a direct hit from mid-off to leave the Jumping Jacks innings in tatters at 4-27.

Brad Gnaden briefly raised hopes of a fightback with a lusty knock of 20, and a 24-run 10th wicket stand between Andrew Pyle (8) and Michael Gnaden (8*) meant that Jindivick would have some sort of a target to defend; posting 95 from their 20 overs.
