Despite stern resistance from the lower order, Jack Braddick wrapped things up with a whirlwind five over spell that saw him finish with 3/10.

James Maguire snared 3/24 and Steven McGillivra­y returned a miserly 3/14 off eight overs.

Warriors marching to finals

Choosing to bat first the Warriors set the tone early with a 116-run opening stand between Kristian Thompson (56) and Michael Rabl (57).

Rod Breeden (50 off 40 balls) and Duy Vo (50 off 48 balls) kept the momentum going with a pair of better than a run a ball fifties while Jacob Konstanty chipped in with a handy 10 not out late in the innings.

Chris Harry toiled hard for the Hawks to finish with 3/49 along with Ben Dixon who claimed 2/41.

In reply, the visitors got away to a flying start with Dale Kelly (31) and Jack Jarred putting on 81 for the first wicket.

It was all downhill from there however with no other batsman reaching double figures. Jarred remained unbeaten at the end of the allotted overs, having compiled 110 in an inspiratio­nal innings for the visitor.

Sam Laffy (2/21) and Peter Croft (2/28) were the pick of the bowlers, aided by some slick glove work from Duy Vo who finished with three stumpings.
