Junior stallholders wanted

-

Warragul Kids Farmers Market is in search of stall holders for its market next month.

There will be 50 stall sites set up in the Warragul Primary School grounds on Friday, March 16.

Warragul Farmers Market will host a kids stall at its February 17 market to provide information and stallholder applications for kids wanting to participate in the market.

Kids with green thumbs and entrepreneurial minds have been already getting busy over the summer holidays planning and preparing to run a kids farmers’ market.

The business-savvy primary school students are getting a real life taste for what it’s like to run a mini business that could possibly make some money.

Kids have been dreaming up all sorts of plans for stalls including selling their homegrown fruit and vegetables, jams, cut flowers, lemonade, ginger beer, toffee apples etc.

The market is an opportunity for the children to start building their toolkit of life skills including practical skills like being able to go to the shops and buy things with confidence and to learn the value of money.

Warragul Farmers Market is keen to work with local schools to provide a platform for kids to develop practical real life experiences.

The Warragul Kids Farmers Market next month will be open for sales from 4pm to 7pm.
