Division 1

Buln Buln (4-376) def. Yarragon (189):

An emphatic batting display from Buln Buln carried them to a massive 187-run win over Yarragon, with Jeff Walsh the star of the show for the Lyrebirds.

Playing just his fourth match for Buln since belting a century against Western Park in November, Walsh steadily compiled 119 against the Panthers, with his century well and truly sealing the victory for his side.

Having restricted the Panthers to 187 on day one of proceedings – with Kumara again the pick of the batsmen for Yarragon striking 89 – Buln’s chase began poorly with Jack Paull dismissed without scoring.

However, his dismissal triggered a second wicket stand of 192 between Jack Armour (who compiled a patient 69) and Walsh, with the duo largely untroubled by the Yarragon bowlers.

Having been handed a winning platform, Brent Eastwell (74) and Rhys Holdsworth (not quite matching his division three exploits with a knock of 90*) running amok in the latter part of the match.

Longwarry (220) def. Drouin (79 and 5-137):

Longwarry claimed their first win of the 2017/18 season in dominant fashion at the weekend, with the Crows taking out a 141-run first innings victory over a Drouin side that has faltered badly with the bat in recent weeks.

Led by a rampant all-round display from Tom Keily, Longwarry bundled the Hawks out for just 79, with Keily’s haul of 6-25 from 21 overs proving far too much for Drouin to overcome.

Ably supported by Troy Lehman (who claimed 4-22 from 10.4), the duo allowed just one batsmen –
