Ward leads way with the willow

-

On the back of his stirring effort, Jindivick dismissed Hallora for 173 and claimed the six points.

Kamran Murtaza (48) and Michael Buzasi (31) were the pick of the batsmen for Jindivick on day one as they posted their eventual winning total of 191.

Eagles fall short

Western Park (146) def. Ellinbank (94): Despite a middling performance with the bat, Western Park’s bowling depth proved far too much for Ellinbank to overcome as the Warriors took home a 52-run win over the Eagles.

On the back of disciplined knocks of 29 to Kim Drew and Jack Barnes, and a handy contribution of 23 to Adam Feltham, Western Park posted 146 before being dismissed in the 66th over.

Jack Pandolfo (3-14 from 13.2) and Chris Pallot (5-53 off 23) were particularly effective with the ball and ensured that Ellinbank were always in the hunt for wickets.

Unfortunately for the Eagles their batsmen couldn’t follow up the strong work of their bowlers and against the constant pressure of the Warriors attack they crumbled.

Daniel Sheehan (3-19 off 14) enjoyed his best return since returning to the club, while Jason Batson (2-25 off 16) was also effective as Ellinbank were dismissed for 94 in the 50th over.

Titans show discipline

Garfield-Tynong def. Warragul (122): A four-wicket haul to Pete Davidson has helped Garfield-Tynong to victory over Warragul in their Round 12 clash – with the Titans disciplined approach with the ball proving too much for the Gulls to overcome.

Only Paul Bridges-Black was able to briefly break free, and his boundary-laden 31 was the only real bright spark of the innings.

Daniel Savage (3-20 off 11) set the tone with the new-ball, Gerard Shields (2-12 from nine) and Davidson (4-5 from 9.2, a sensational spell of bowling) were able to maintain the pressure.

Scores were not available for the GarfieldTynong chase, but they were successful in their endeavours.
