Jindivick upset Parkers

Jindivick 3/158 (cc) def Western Park 10/138 A 115-run third wicket partnershi­p between Rory Payne and David Chugg saw the Jumping Jacks set a defendable total against Western Park.

Coming together at 2/29 the pair were unshakable, resisting all efforts by the home side as they mixed up the bowling in the elusive search for wickets.

Michael Rabl returned for a second spell and was rewarded with the wicket of Payne for 58. Chugg remained unbeaten on 58 at the completion of the 40 overs.

Jacob Konstanty was the pick of the bowlers with 2/19, cashing in on some good early pressure from wily medium pacer Kenny Lindsey. Taking the new ball Lindsey finished with the incredible figures of six overs, four maidens 0/3.

In reply, the Warriors batsmen found it hard to get going with wickets falling at regular intervals.

Michael Rabl (a patient 30) and Kenny Lindsey (21) gave their side a glimmer of hope with a handy second wicket partnershi­p however the middle order struggled against the change bowlers.

Paul Gavin finished the day 22 not out as the last wicket fell in the final over.

With wickets shared evenly amongst the bowlers James Maguire was the pick of them with an economical return of 2/17 off eight overs. Jack Braddick, Harrison Moore, and Shane Hoskins snared two apiece.
