Warragul 4/204 def Hallora 7/200 (cc) Half-centuries to Amandeep Singh and John Mulqueen has seen Warragul ease to a six wicket win over Hallora at the weekend.

Set a below par target of 201, Singh quickly set the tone for the innings, blasting his way to a seasons best score of 67.

Revelling in the small confines and lightning fast outfield of the Athlone Recreation Reserve, Singh struck eight boundaries and three maximums on his way to top scoring for the visitors.

Mulqueen (54*) was slightly more reserved with four boundaries and two sixes helping him to reach his fourth half-century of the season.

Liam Bow (27*) provided valuable support in an unbeaten 76-run fifth wicket stand that saw the Gulls safely across the line.

Clint Hickford was the pick of the bowlers with 2/30 while Joseph Youngman chimed in with 2/26.

Earlier in the day Brian McDonald dominated proceeding­s, top scoring for the home side with 67 (10 fours).

Clint Hickford (25) and Darren Humphrey (29*) kept the scorers busy helping the Kangas see out their allotted overs.

Best of the bowlers were Daniel Whitten (3/44) and Jason Pisa (2/30).

Sharpe on point

Bunyip 7/92 def Drouin 10/91 Bunyip opening bowler Ben Sharpe proved to be the difference in the Bulls clash with Drouin.

Delivering a fiery opening spell that left the Hawks reeling at 5/45, Sharpe finished with the miserly figures of 4/14 from his eight overs.

Jude Fernando (20) mustered some resistance before falling victim to Sharpe. Only Campbell Jolly (11) and Gavin Mills (10) could reach double figures before a late bowling
