Crows get up in run fest

Lochie Downie (33) punished anything loose while at the other end Joshua Maric (20) was a study in defence. Andrew Downie (48) briefly lifted the run rate along with Jayden Bibby with a timely 23.

Best of the bowlers was JP D’Amico with 3/30 supported by John Neilson with 2/23.

In reply, the visitor made a steady start with Raman Gautam (28) again looking dangerous.

Kristian Thompson was a welcome addition to the side, striking boundaries on both sides of the wicket and top scoring with 55 off 46 deliveries.

John Neilson was another handy inclusion, his blistering 35 off 18 balls helping his side pass the target in the 30th over.

Chris McNeill snared his first wicket and finished the day with 2/35 to be the only multiple wicket taker.

Tough going at Yarragon

Jindivick 4/91 def Yarragon 3/83 (cc) Yarragon found scoring difficult on their home ground, going down to Jindivick by six wickets.

Choosing to bat first, Norm Evans (25) made a positive start for the Panthers before Mick Gnaden got one through the gate.

Steve Green again anchored the innings to top score with 40 not out as the bowlers were made to work hard for little reward.

In reply, the Jumping Jacks were untroubled reaching the target four down in the 22nd over. Norm Evans finished with 2/33.
