- By Adam Johnson

Longwarry 7/218 def Buln Buln 7/213 (cc) Longwarry has staged a dramatic middle order fightback to run out winners over Buln Buln by three wickets.

Chasing a competitive 200 plus target the Crows were in trouble at 5/54 but a pair of 50s to Darren Pope (51*) and Ben Majcherzak (53) brought them back into the contest.

Shane McDonald (19) and Noel Pullen (17*) did enough late in the day to secure the points with one over to spare.

Patrick Ireland was the standout performer with the ball snaring 4/24 off six overs, which included the key wickets of Jesse Lafrantz for nought and Gary Kear for 28.

Earlier in the day the Lyrebirds burst out of the gates with Rob Park (52*) and Charlie Park (57) both recording half-centuries.

Despite a lull in the middle order Ryan Bishop upped the tempo to finish on 52 retired not out with Patrick Ireland chipping in with a handy 18 not out.

Best of the bowlers was Gary Kear with 3/35 while David Harvie picked up 2/42.
