and Jamie Gleeson (39) continued to make life difficult for the Garfield-Tynong bowlers, carrying Neerim District to 182 before they were dismissed in the 64th over.

Justin Price (5-46) was the pick of the bowlers for the Titans.

Left with three overs to face out, Dale Cunliffe (6*) and Price (0*) safely made their way to stumps with the score 0-7, the match well and truly in the balance.

Jindivick on top

Western Park (129) vs. Jindivick (3-109): Jindivick enjoyed a day of dominance against Western Park in their division three clash, with the Jumping Jacks requiring just 21 more runs to claim first-innings points when play resumes next weekend.

On a Logan Park outfield that rewards just about any shot that beats the field with a boundary, the Warriors could only post 129 after electing to bat first, with Sean Viotto’s six-wicket haul decimating the Western Park line-up.

Angus Geals (47) and Wil Cole (28) were the only batsmen to really launch a counter attack against the Jindivick bowlers, with the rest of the line-up struggling.

In reply, Viotto struck an aggressive 35 to match Mark Robinson’s more watchful halfcentury, and they helped Jindivick through to 3-109 at stumps.

No scores were entered from the match between Yarragon and Longwarry at time of going to print.
