Local swimmers win medals
The Warragul Warriors swam at the Victorian Country Championships in Shepparton with success recently, with many swimmers coming away with medals.
The hot conditions tested both swimmers and spectators, with the Warriors thanking coaching staff and parents for their support across the three-day event.
With 24 swimmers representing Warragul, the club’s pride, determination and commitment was on display.
With a young and developing team the future of the swimming club looks bright. Individual medal winners: Girls 11 and under 50m Breastroke: 1st Izzy Risch; Boys 13 and under 200m IML: 3rd Ben Francis; Girls 11 and under 50m Freestyle: 3rd Izzy Risch; Boys 13 and under 100m Breastroke 3rd Anton Risch.
