Wednesday was played in heavy winds for a Par event.

Jason Stirzaker played very solidly to record the best score in A grade with two up.

Bill Toogood was the best score of the day with an excellent four up to win B grade, while Michael Hall took out C grade with a nice two up in the difficult conditions.

You needed one up to receive a ball down the line.

NTP 5th Paul Adamiak, 8th Shane Dwyer, 10th Reg Dixon, 14th Gerard Commadeur.

Both tomorrow and Saturday’s events will be individual stableford

Pennant

The scratch one side went down in convincing style to a very impressive Yallourn outfit. Mark Allen was the only winner on the day as the team went down 5 1/2 - 1 1/2.

Scratch 2 continued their good start to the season with an impressive 4/1 victory over Traralgon.

Jye Kruyer had a big win 6/5 to record his first win for the club.

Handicap 2 remains undefeated after three rounds and finds themselves in a great spot mid way through the season.

The highlight was a 7/6 win for Paul Matthews in the sides’ 4/1 win

Handicap 3 went down in a tight affair 3/2 to Garfield. The skipper in Steve Henning lead by example with a good win 1 up.

Seniors

It was a lovely morning for the Drouin seniors nine-hole event last Thursday.

The winner in the women’s division was Julie Kidd with 18 points.

The runners up were Deb Daniel and Olive Reid with 17 points, followed by Pam Soutar with 16 points. Then came Helen Moon, Helen Andreasen, Marion Devlin and Anne McGougan with15 points.

In the men’s division, the winner was Mike Roberts with a nice score of 22 points.

The runners up were Max Luck and Ian Hemphill with 17 points, followed by Peter Downward, Richie Thomas, Ray Fix, Phil Edwards and Tex Devlin with 16 points.
