Warragul & Drouin Gazette

Opening our eyes

-

Thank you Warragul Gazette for publishing Ben Goodwin’s full page article “Gippsland Rocks” in last week’s edition.

What a wonderfully written account of his visit to the Baw Baw area. Superlative after superlative. I assume he may be an experienced writer, but even still, it was a joy to read.

It takes a visitor to open our eyes to the beauty around us. Well done!

Mary Hardwick-Jones, Warragul

Bouquets to the staff of the mobile library of the West Gippsland Library Service.

The team are friendly, helpful and ensure heaps of new titles are on the shelf each visit.

Bouquets to Phil and Jenny of West Gippsland Libraries for the talk ‘All Things Africa’ in Trafalgar on April 13. Covering Zambia, Malawi, Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa, it was interesting and informative.

Ten tonne of bricks to the person who stole the tap from the milk separator at the animal nursery at Farm World. The machine was no longer in use after it was taken.

We have those things in place so the children learn where their food comes from. So to have someone come through simply to take something like a small tap is disappointing.

Stay home next year. You can return it to The Gazette office with no questions asked.
