-

A Trafalgar East man followed offenders after he woke at 3am yesterday morning and heard his car being stolen.

Police said the man was asleep in his Melaleuca Drv home when he woke to the sound of his car starting. When he went outside, his 2010 Holden was being driven away. The victim attempted to follow the offender and rang triple zero at the same time. A black Mitsubishi Triton also was seen in the area. Police attempted to intercept the Triton utility but was unsuccessful.

The Triton had been stolen from a Moe address earlier in the night.

Neither of the vehicles have been recovered.
