Gippsland Travel celebrates 30 years of expert travel advice and outstanding service
This year marks the 30th anniversary since Jacquey and Bob Turner took over the reins of Gippsland Travel and turned it into one of Australia’s leading independent travel agencies.
Since 1988, this highly successful business, based in Warragul, has grown and adapted to an ever-changing travel industry by embracing new technologies and offering the sort of service and expertise that only comes from dealing with highly qualified and experienced travel consultants.
The past 30 years has seen Gippsland Travel grow from a two-person operation to an award-winning agency with a staff of eleven, but the business has never deviated from Jacquey and Bob’s original vision.
Their vision remains, as Jacquey states, “to treat each client as a unique individual with their own specific travel needs, to nurture our staff and ensure that they are qualified to more than meet our clients’ expectations and to be a part of, and support, our local community”.
From the beginning, Jacquey combined her great love of travel and extensive experience of living in and visiting dozens of countries around the world with Bob’s business acumen and local knowledge to create a travel agency, that over the years, has received many accolades.
Even after 30 years of running this highly successful business, Jacquey still says that seeing the enjoyment her clients get from visiting new and exciting destinations just makes her so happy. To help many clients achieve their goal of exploring new destinations overseas, Gippsland Travel offers a new program each year of tours personally escorted by Jacquey and her senior travel consultants.
Gippsland Travel is also working with a number of local clubs and organisations to arrange escorted tours both within Australia and to other countries within our region.
In the early days, most of Gippsland Travel’s clients came from the local area but each year the number of clients coming from across Australia increases significantly as the agency’s reputation spreads, principally by word-ofmouth.
“After 30 years in the travel industry, we believe our ongoing success is mainly due to the personalised service our clients receive from our highly trained and experienced staff. It’s all about our clients’ total experience,” says Jacquey.
