The first of the local rivalry clashes for the season between Drouin and Warragul will be played at Drouin next Sunday.

The Gulls will be out to retain the Warragul and Drouin Gazette Cup that they wrested back last year.

The Cup is fought out over all matches on the netball court and football ground with a total of 50 points for each of the two sports.

Given fine weather the “local derby usually attracts a big crowd. The day’s starting time for matches are:Football – Fourths 9 a.m., thirds 10.45 a.m., reserves 12.30 p.m., seniors 2.20 p.m.

Netball – 13&Under 9 a.m., 15&Under 10.05 a.m., 17&Under 11.10 a.m., C grade 12.15 p.m., B grade 1.20 p.m., A grade 2.35 p.m.
