A great week of perfect autumn weather prevailed this week, so there were no excuses not to get outdoors for a game.

A field of 70 lined up on Saturday for a game of single stableford with a score of 38 points or better required just to win a ball down the line.

Best in for A grade was Kevan McMillan with 41 points, two points in advance of Peter Black and Peter Glasscock.

Terry McLaughlin won B grade with a score of 40 points, one point to the better of Peter Bogart and a further point away in third place was Gary Kelly.

Dean Aitken won the C grade event with a score of 40 points, also just the point in advance of David Leach and Mick Jusic.

Grant McKay scored the two nearest the pins on the par three fourth and 14th holes.

Olga Pearson won the women’s event with a score of 39 points playing off a handicap of 33.

On Thursday a field of 44 presented for a game with Ash Graham winning the A grade event with a nice score of 43 points.

Peter Scott came in second place with a score of 41 points, while Charlie Barnes finished in third place with a score of 39 points.

John Gay won the B grade event by scoring 40 points just the one point to the better of Bill Purdom, and a further four points away in third place was Ken Sumison.

Ash Graham also scored the two nearest the pins on the par three fourth and 11th holes. Next Saturday is a game of single stableford. All woman golfers are advised that they can now take part in the West Gipplsand veteran’s events.
