Hospital runs rings around others

-

Last week I was taken by ambulance to West Gippsland Hospital emergency department after some heart related issues.

I'd just like to say how caring, professional and competent the nursing and medical staff were in attending to my needs with dignity and compassion and always with a smile on their faces.

Thank you one and all with particular mention to nurses Shelby, Leesa, and Trish and the attending doctors. The meal provided at dinner time was also delicious, especially after a day of fasting until diagnoses were made of my condition.

Thank you all and we are so fortunate to have such a wonderful local facility. My wife has just returned home from surgery in a large private hospital in the city and our little gem runs rings around it.

Unfortunately my further treatment can only be done at a large hospital which requires me to travel to the city with all the associated difficulty for my family etc in visiting.

This just shows how important the relocation and updating of our hospital is to the local community. It is vital that our local hospital is able to continue to support the local community in the way it has over many years and with the services and facilities needed to satisfy the needs of a rapidly growing population. Allan Lowe, Warragul 2006 respectively, the cause may be the water supply.

One way to test if that might be the case is to stop using the town water supply in cooking, bathing and laundry. If your symptoms subside after a couple of weeks, try the town water again and see if your symptoms resurface.

The government was told at the time of its introduction that fluoride was toxic. Why did the government persist? Did some commercial interest prevail? Did the government really want to increase chronic poor health?

“We are tired of your unfulfilled promises. They won’t wash anymore, nor will blaming the opposing party. We do not want to hear why we shouldn’t elect other candidates or parties. We need to hear why we should elect you. What have you done?

What promises have you made and not delivered? Do not use jargon, obfuscation or spin. Tell us straight what has been achieved and then you may have earned another few years tenure.

If you hide behind party propaganda, then you run the risk that you won’t. Treat the campaign as a job interview because that is what it is. We, the general public, are your employers so give us the respect that we deserve. Do not talk down to us or belittle our opinions, nor take our votes for granted.

If you do so, you may not get another gig. Being in opposition is no excuse for achieving little. You have been elected by us to represent us, not your party.
