A Biggest Morning Tea with a difference at Warragul’s Fairview Village raised $600 for cancer research.

Holding a Biggest Afternoon Tea, the event also celebrating the Village’s many volunteers as part of National Volunteers Week. Volunteers and Fairview Village staff were encouraged to wear yellow, with some creative outfits on show.

The event included an auction and raffle, with a final donation at the end of the event bring the final total to $600 for Cancer Council.

The event at Fairview Village was one of several hosted throughout the district with local offices and sporting clubs also getting behind the fundraiser.

Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is Cancer Council’s most popular fundraising event and the largest, most successful event of its kind in Australia.

The idea is simple, just get your friends, colleagues or community together over some tea and treats, and help to raise vital money for people affected by cancer.

All of the donations made across the country go towards helping your local Cancer Council achieve its mission of a cancer free future.

Last year’s Biggest Morning Tea raised $11.9 million across Australia.

This year celebrated 25 years of Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, with the Cancer Council hoping to raise more than ever.
