Kim McFarlane – Criminal Lawyers

Kim has practised in Gippsland for most of her legal career after moving from Melbourne in 2007.

As the Principal of McFarlane Criminal Lawyers and as an experience­d solicitor advocate, Kim will not only take your instructio­ns but appear in court on your behalf until the conclusion of your matter. Kim specialise­s in all areas of criminal law. Kim and her team ensure that your representa­tion is completed profession­ally and with passion.

Kim believes in the importance of empowering other people, especially woman both in and out of the legal profession.

Kim has recently engaged two trainee lawyers and believes in the importance of using her business and mentoring skills to foster growth in the legal profession.

Kim has completed her Bachelor of Arts (Politics and Policy Major) at Deakin University and holds the degrees of Bachelor of Laws and Masters in Global Business Law from Latrobe University. Kim was the Law Institute of Victoria President’s Award winner as Rising Star of the Year in 2011 and participat­ed in the 2012 Legal Comedy Debate (which is part of the Melbourne Internatio­nal Comedy Festival.)

As well as dedicating herself to her clients and law firm, Kim values the opportunit­y to put back into her community as a small business owner by volunteeri­ng on several local community committees and sponsoring many local sporting clubs.
