Shameful and ridiculous opposition
NIMBY shame. I love to read The Gazette on trips home to read of communities, contributions and amazing people.
But to read that a group of Drouin residents cannot welcome single older women into their community is as shameful as it is ridiculous.
Try as I will I cannot imagine what the problem is. Noise! Hard to think there are going to be all night parties and cars roaring to and fro.
Where is that warm community spirit and the role models we want to give our children. Shame on you Susan Oliver, East Melbourne ing we were sure to site the support of the many $2 stakeholders in the community. Farewell lovely lady.
Helene Armour, president Wesley of Warragul A huge bouquet to the kind woman who handed my handbag into the Warragul Police Station on Thursday, May 31. Thank you to the police as well.
Bouquets to Les and Lyn for the lovely job they did for me plus all the other announcers at 3BBR.
Bricks to last week’s Drouin West complainant. How soon we forget the destruction of the Black Saturday bushfires. Regular and frequent property burn-offs here protect the environment and lives from such catastrophes. If you live in a rural area expect rural activities.
A bouquet to the person who found my purse and returned it to staff at Aldi Warragul. Thank you very much, it was greatly appteciated.
A brick to the man who was marking the tyres of cars parked in front of Coles on Thursday June 7. One of them was mine. I hadn't been parked there that long. Bouquets to the community for their kind donations to the Labertouche and District Men's Shed after the recent burglary at our shed. The donations have been greatly appreciated and allow us to continue working in our shed and the community.
Bouquets to the amazing medical and administration staff who looked after me during a day procedure at WGHG this week. The service I received was excellent and I feel most fortunate to have such a professional and compassionate medical service locally.
Bouquets to Baw Baw Shire for installing drought hardy shrubs in the new roundabout in Mason St, Warragul. It is a relief to see annual plants with their high upkeep and short lifespan have not been used, rather with something hardier and Australian. Good decision by the shire to save us money.
Bricks to the motorbike rider who hoons along Burton St, Warragul on the road and footpath. Also to the drivers who use this street and others as a speedway.
Bouquets to each person trying to stop the logging at Noojee.
