-

Warragul United fought back to share the points with rivals Beaumaris at Warragul’s Baxter Park on Saturday.

Goals to Zach Lemke and Kristian Sarkies helped the fifth-placed Sharks to a 2-0 lead at half time.

Warragul responded in the second half, with goals to Nathan Lugton and Adam Ahmadzai levelling the scores.

The draw sees Warragul one point behind the Sharks on the ladder.

Warragul and Beaumaris also fought out a draw in the Reserves, with the final score locked at three goals apiece.

The Sharks took a 2-1 lead into half time, before Warragul turned the tables to match that effort in the second half.

Warragul’s goals came through Mitchell Jones, Declan Morrison and Lachlan Huizer.

Dragons suffer loss

Drouin Dragons suffered a 3-1 loss to Aspendale.

Facing a two-goal deficit at half time following a brace to Dominic Paull, Drouin fought back in the second half with both teams scoring a goal apiece.

Drouin’s Reserves didn’t fare much better, suffering a 4-1 loss.

Two goals in the opening 17 minutes created an early buffer, before a goal at the 38-minute mark saw Aspendale take a 3-1 lead into half time.

Drouin’s second half got off to a disastrous start, with Aspendale scoring their fourth goal in a matter of minutes.

The Drouin team tightened up for the remainder of the match, with Aspendale unable to break through for a fifth goal.
